Birthday Book Box

I made this book box for my friend. Her birthday is coming up soon, and I thought she would enjoy this little custom box, filled and decorated with things she loves.

Many of the pieces are old jewelry I recently obtained, mixed with some great finds from Etsy.

Hopefully, she won't see this in the next few days... haha.

My Squid, Squishes [re-bind]

I really enjoy book making. I think my new goal in life will be to become a professional book maker..... in addition to being a writer and illustrator.

Re-bind of a book a kid's book I wrote and illustrated in December 2009. I have big plans for this book. Soon.

New recent purchases. I've received my first paycheck in a LONG time, and I decided to treat myself to some much needed [and wanted] new jewelery. I found these on Etsy. They're so tiiiiny. And adorable.

Just as a side note, my friend sent these to me about a month ago. No special occasion, but when she saw these, she KNEW I had to have them.... and shipped them 500 miles from Rochester to Brooklyn, just because. I LOVE these!:
